A MAN has appeared in court after he was drunk and disorderly in a public place.
At South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court last Wednesday, Simon Dowsen (54), of Western Avenue, Prudhoe, admitted the charge of being drunk and disorderly.
The court heard that Dowsen was acting in an intoxicated manner on Prudhoe's Front Street on December 8.
He was given a conditional discharge for six months after admitting the offence.
The defendant was also ordered to pay costs of £85 towards court costs and a victim surcharge of £22.
