A GIANT Santa is towering above the chimney tops in the centre of a Tyne Valley town.
The 33ft tall version of St Nicholas emerged on Tuesday, above the premises of A.R. Owen Insurance Services in Haltwhistle.
The iconic building, in the Market Place, formerly housed the HSBC Bank.
A.R. Owen proprietor Neil Robinson said he and his staff made the gesture to bring festive cheer for people in the town and surrounding areas who have been restricted to their homes during lockdon.
The illuminated Santa can be seen for miles around.
