READERS of the Hexham Courant took to social media to react to the news that a new retail park, known as Tyneview, had opened its doors in Prudhoe.
It is set to bring some of the biggest names in retail to Prudhoe, including Aldi, B&M Bargains, Greggs, and the Tyne Valley’s first McDonald’s restaurant.
GEORDIE WILSON: “This is just what the area needs, a big jobs boost and people not having to travel miles and saving a lot of money. No one can complain can they?”
KAREN FAIRBAIRN READ: “Maybe some give way signs in the car park would help!!”
DAPHNE THREADGOLD-REAY: “Just a shame no direct bus from Half Way, Mickley or Stocksfield.”
ANDY FORSTER: “Personally I can’t wait for it to fully open.
“About time there was some competition and pay a proper price for my food instead of travelling to the metro centre or Hexham.”
“I’ll still support the Front Street but not for a supermarket shop.”
