A man has been ordered to pay a £300 fine after he admitted to possession of a Class B drug.
Barry Jones, 33, of Redwell Road, Prudhoe, pleaded guilty to possessing a quantity of amphetamine while he was in Newcastle on February 29 this year.
He was discharged conditionally for 12 months at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Friday after his case was considered.
The court also ordered Jones to pay a £300 fine and an additional £21 victim surcharge.
