A man has been handed a nighttime curfew and a driving ban.
Emmanuel Brown 60, of Parsons Road, Wylam, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a blood sample after being suspected of driving a vehicle.
Appearing at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday, he admitted the offence after an initial not guilty plea.
The 40-month driving ban will be reduced by 40 weeks if Brown completes a driving course.
He was also ordered to take part in a drink-driving rehab programme.
North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court also ordered Brown to pay an additional £95 victim surcharge and costs of bringing the case to court of £85.
