Margaret Young would not let coronavirus restrictions hamper her birthday celebrations.
For the 92-year-old spent the day with her family, albeit on the other side of the window.
Although the Charlotte Straker Project is in lockdown, staff were determined to ensure Margaret and other residents are able to enjoy their special day.
And Margaret celebrated her birthday at the Corbridge community care facility with a visit from her daughters, Ingrid and Yvonne.
A special birthday cake was prepared by the Charlotte Straker kitchen team, with presents and gifts exchanged in a safe manner.
Sat in the dining room by the window the family were unable to embrace, but instead shared the landmark moment side by side.
The Charlotte Straker Project said it continues to review its health and safety measures in line with Covid-19.
