A motorist who failed to provide a breath test to officers at a police station has been banned for three years.
South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court heard how Harry Hall, of Thorngrafton, Hexham, failed to provide a sample at Newcastle’s Forth Banks Police Station on March 21.
Hall pleaded guilty to the charge at court on Thursday and received a community order.
The court heard the driving ban will be reduced by 36 weeks if he completes a driving course by January 4.
The 61-year-old was ordered to pay £450 costs, a £90 victim surcharge and a £50 fine.
