THE first store at a new Tyne Valley retail park is officially set to open tomorrow, it has been confirmed.

B&M Bargains has revealed it will open the doors of its new store on Tyneview Retail Park in Low Prudhoe for the first time at 9am tomorrow.

The company had suggested November 18 would be the first day of trading, but until now nothing had been set in stone.

Coun. Gordon Stewart, who represents Prudhoe South, said: "This is a great day for Prudhoe, and it's something the people of the town have been waiting a long time for.

"It's great to finally see this come to fruition. A lot of hard work has gone into making this happen.

"I look forward to seeing the rest of the businesses open their doors too.

"We also have some fantastic businesses elsewhere in town - there has never been a more important time to shop local."
