Churches and local communities in the Allen Valleys have revealed plans to create a virtual display of angels.
Parishioners of St Mark’s Church in Ninebanks, Holy Trinity in Whitfield, and St Cuthbert’s in Allendale are invited to celebrate the start of the festive season later this month.
Organisers are encouraging locals to create their Christmas angels using any material possible, with past examples including wool, wire, wood, fabric, thread, wicker and metal.
Photographs of angels can then be shared at www.allendalechurch.co.uk/angels between Sunday, November 22 and Saturday, December 5.
Voting will later be open from December 6 to December 12 with prizes for the three entries that receive the most votes.
Last year, parishioners responded in their droves and with angels of all shapes, sizes and materials for the festival of St Michael.
