A ROAD that connects a Tyne Valley village to the A69 is currently closed for resurfacing works.
The B6530 Newcastle Road, which runs from Corbridge to the Styford roundabout, has been closed by Northumberland County Council.
The route had been shut from October 19 to until October 23 between 7am and 5pm to allow for civil works to take place.
However, it is now shut 24 hours a day in order for resurfacing works to be completed.
The closure will remain in place until November 5.
Traffic has been diverted out the other side of the village past the middle school.
