Let me be clear. I am absolutely delighted to be welcoming Liam Panesh to Hexham Town Council, standing alongside me, representing the ward of Hexham East.
So he’s young, married with a young family, lives in the ward, started his own business and is currently undertaking more studies.
He wants to make a difference to Hexham; he wants to give something back; he’s enthusiastic about the town he lives in and he wants to engage with Hexham residents and hear what they have to say.
The Hexham East residents I know, will give him a chance to do just that.
The negativity I have seen this week and the political posturing is despicable and disappointing to say the least.
I’ll give you a chance, as I do with most people.
Welcome Liam.

Hexham East representative, Northumberland County Council
