Just Eat has analysed millions of dessert and sweet takeaway orders across the UK to discover the ‘sweetest spots’ of the country.

The takeaway delivery company discovered the nation's most popular sweet order is milkshakes, followed by chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate fudge cake.

The most original orders came from Enfield and Durham with Rainbow Cake among their top orders and also from Plymouth with Vegan Coffee Shakes at the top of their sweet treats rank.

Is your city one of the sweetest in the UK?

The data was gathered by analysing over 700 million sweet orders from bakeries, ice cream shops, coffee shops and desserts from all restaurants menus. To adjust for population size, the data was then processed per capita to understand the true density of sweet dishes per location.

The top 10 locations with sweetest tooth are: 1, North London; 2, Liverpool; 3, West London; 4, Birmingham; 5, Sheffield; 6, Sunderland; 7, Oldham; 8, Newcastle upon Tyne; 9, Manchester; 10, Motherwell.
