A TRIAL date has been set for six people accused of Christmas Day violence in a Tynedale town.
Audrey Dagless (58), Jak Dagless (21) and Richard Dagless (25), of Chambers Mews, Haltwhistle, pleaded not guilty to the charges at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court at an earlier hearing.
Kelsey (27) and Shirley Bryant (54), of Maidens Walk, Hexham, and Charlotte Harkness (28), of Adderlane Road, Prudhoe, pleaded not guilty at a separate hearing.
At an earlier hearing, North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court heard how two police officers were “badly assaulted” and suffered “serious injuries” after attending the scene.
The court was told one of the officers suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and has not returned to work since the incident on December 25 2018.
The defendants will appear at Newcastle Crown Court on January 10 2022 for the trial.
