MORE than 100 children walked up to 10km to raise £1,800 for their school.
Pupils from Bellingham Partnership, which takes in Bellingham Primary and Bellingham Middle, completed a walking challenge in aid of Young Minds, a charity for children and young people’s mental health, with many of the North Tyne youngsters donning yellow in support of the charity’s #HelloYellow campaign.
Middle School headteacher, Lindsay Hamilton, said: “We decided to support Young Minds because now, more than ever, there is a crisis in children and young people’s mental health.
"Young Minds is a charity which aims to ensure that all young minds are supported and empowered - they want to make sure that all young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties, which is so important at this time.”
