A TYNE Valley woman put her best foot forward to help out a barefoot relay from Land's End to Edinburgh.
Clare Banks (33), of Haltwhistle, walked the 113th leg of the national fund-raiser for rare disease Cornelia de Lange Syndrome which took her from the village of Byrness to the Scottish border.
Chris Brannigan is leading the walk for his daughter Hasti, who was diagnosed in 2018.
Clare, a retired Police Officer and mother of two, said: “I’m honoured to take on this challenge.
"I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve received and to everyone who has donated.”
