A TYNEDALE farmer has been accused of failing to get rid of a number of sheep carcasses from his land as required by law.
Robert Kent Springett (77), of Orchelands Farm, Fellside, near Hexham, is accused by Northumberland County Council of 10 charges of failing to comply with an animal by-product requirement of removing the dead bodies in adequate time.
The accusations relate to a visit of the farm by representatives from the council on May 16 last year.
The case was adjourned to South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court on October 26/.
