IN last week’s Courant, we reported on how a popular village hall is welcoming back some of its user groups following lockdown.
It stated that the Knott Memorial Hall at Heddon-on-the-Wall had benefited from a £17,000 Heritage Lottery grant, which was specifically to be used for improvements at the facility.
However, the article incorrectly stated that the capital was being used to keep the hall running during the coronavirus pandemic.
In fact, the Knott Memorial Hall is using cash from a separate Small Business Grant fund, which is specifically for Covid mitigation.
We apologise for any misunderstanding.
