A GROWING sports club has received regional recognition after being crowned North-East club of the year.
Recent success for Tynedale Netball Club led to an invitation to qualify for the North East Regional League. And after winning Division Two at the second attempt the improving team have since been promoted to Division One, establishing themselves as one of the region’s top sides.
The former Northumberland County League Division One winners were commended for making a significant improvement in such a short space of time.
At the North-East Virtual Netball Awards Tynedale’s players and coaches were described as “super committed and really keen to improve.”
Coach, Lesley Woodhouse, who won coach of the year at the Sport Tynedale Awards last year, was also nominated at the ceremony.
