CLOSE to 150 schoolchildren in the North Tyne will take part in a sponsored walk on Friday to raise money for young people’s mental health.
Bellingham Partnership, which consists of Bellingham Primary and Bellingham Middle School, will walk up to 10km wearing yellow as part of the Young Minds #HelloYellow campaign.
Young Minds is the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people’s mental health.
Perhaps now more than ever before, in these uncertain times, more children and young people are reaching out for help with their mental health.
Bellingham Middle School headteacher, Lindsay Hamilton, said that positive mental wellbeing was an issue high on the partnership’s agenda since its reopening, and that resources and activities being used to support pupils were provided by Young Minds.
