A MAN is due to appear in court after pleading not guilty to sending offensive messages.
Lee Nicholson (30), of Causey Hill Road, Hexham, pleaded guilty to one charge of harassment and one charge of sending offensive messages in March last year, at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
However, Nicholson pleaded not guilty to one count of sending offensive messages in May last year.
The court heard how Nicholson is alleged to have sent messages via the Northumbria Police website that conveyed a message which was indecent or grossly offensive.
He will reappear before magistrates on October 14.
