A DRINK driver has been banned from driving for 20 months after driving more than twice over the legal limit.
Jack Clark (24), of Eachwick, Ponteland, pleaded guilty to the charge at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The court heard how Clark drove along Western Way, Ponteland, on August 16.
A breath test found 82 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
He was fined £100 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95.
The driving ban will be reduced by 20 weeks if he completes a driving course.
