THREE people have been hospitalised after a crash on the A69.

A spokesman for Northumbria Police said three vehicles were involved in an accident two miles west of Haydon Bridge near Home Bank.

A spokeswoman for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 16:23 to reports of a multi-vehicle road traffic collision on the A69 at Haydon Bridge.

"We dispatched four ambulances, four hazardous area response teams, and an officer.
