DOZENS of bikers descended on a Tyne Valley village on Saturday as part of a memorial event.
The enthusiasts, from motorcycle clubs in South Tyneside, stopped off at the Anchor Hotel on John Martin Street, Haydon Bridge.
Bikers said the gathering was part of a memorial event, in honour of former club members who had passed away.
Police were in attendance. It is understood officers were ensuring John Martin Street, and the adjoining Shaftoe Street, remained passable for vehicles, and to make sure householders had access to their driveways.
Due to the sheer numbers, the group were stationed in the Anchor Hotel’s outdoor decking area and car park, while their parked bikes, which included Harley-Davidson models, were parked on the roadside and also on part of the old bridge.
