Firefighters from two stations were called to a car completely destroyed by fire.
Crews from Carlisle East and Lazonby fire stations were called out to the A6 at High Heskett at about 6.30am this morning (September 9).
One hose reel jet and one breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the blaze.
Crews were at the scene for about an hour.
