AN ALLEGED thief is due to appear in court accused of stealing a rucksack and its contents.
Steven Smart (46), of Bradley Road, Prudhoe, is alleged to have stolen the items valued at £110 from West Wylam on June 18.
Smart indicated a plea of guilty and was remanded on unconditional bail at North Tyneside Magistrates Court on Friday until September 17 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
