A MAN must pay £1,400 in compensation after dishonestly making somebody believe he would fit a bathroom to that value for them.
Andrew Dodd, of Limestone Lane, Ponteland, pleaded guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court last Thursday to fraud, claiming he would install the bathroom with the intention to make a financial gain for himself.
Dodd was also given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £21.
