A 28-year-old Whitehaven man assaulted a woman and resisted a police officer in the execution of her duty.
Jordan Alan Starkey appeared before Workington's magistrates' court on Friday.
Both crimes took place on August 2 in Thornhill near Egremont.
He resisted PC 2642 Clark in the execution of her duty and assaulted Sarah Mawson by beating.
He admitted both offences in court.
Starkey was defended by solicitor Mike Woolaghan.
Starkey, of Overend Road, was fined £80 for resisting and a further £120 for the assault.
He was ordered to pay £50 in compensation to the assaulted woman.
The court also instructed him to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
Starkey will pay the total balance at a rate of £20 per week, with the first payment due on October 2.
