A MAN has denied stealing items worth more than £100 and using threatening behaviour in a village Co-op.
James Isaac Dodd (35), of Woodlea Crescent, Hexham, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
It is alleged Dodd stole nine steaks, two pork fillets, two boxes of dishwasher tablets, two boxes Powergems and a box of Ariel washing powder to the combined value of £124 from Corbridge Co-op on May 6.
It is also alleged he used threatening behaviour at the same location.
He was bailed until his trial date, set for November 13.
Dodd had pleaded guilty to two charges of using a stolen debit card, and one of theft from a vehicle.
