A MAN has been banned from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to drug driving and possession of cannabis.
Ross Charlton (21), of Cornsay Colliery, County Durham, pleaded guilty to the two offences at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 5.
The offences relate to an incident on January 19 where the 21-year-old was stopped by police on the A696 at Ponteland and found to be over the drug driving limit.
He was fined £173, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £32 victim surcharge.
