A HELICOPTER from the air ambulance service was called to an incident in the Tyne Valley this afternoon.
A spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance said the team received a call for assistance from the North East Ambulance Service at 3:28pm following an incident in the Low Prudhoe area.
A patient is reported to have suffered injuries in a fall.
The North East Ambulance have confirmed they are still on the scene.
A spokeswoman for NEAS said: "We were called at 3.18pm to a patient unconscious on Princess Way in Prudhoe.
"We dispatched two ambulances and the air ambulance. We took one patient to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle."
