The RAF was delighted to share the news that Flying Officer Sarah McGhee, of Prudhoe, had qualified from the RAF College at Cranwell earlier this month.

The 28-year-old, who was educated at Prudhoe High School, has commissioned as a Personnel Support Officer and will now begin the next stage of her training. She said: “I am very happy to have achieved the required standards in order to become a commissioned officer in the RAF.

“I look forward to commencing the next step in my RAF career.”
