A MAN has admitted assaulting a man in a remote Tynedale village - but has denied beating a further two people on the same day.
Ricki Butler (29), of Grosvenor Road, Aldershot, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday to answer three separate charges of assault by beating.
He pleaded guilty to assaulting one man in Humshaugh on May 8.
However, he is accused of assaulting a further male and a woman during the same incident, both of which Butler denied.
Butler was remanded on bail until his trial is heard at the same court on October 20.
As part of the conditions of his bail, he is excluded from contacting any of the three alleged victims and he must not enter the village of Haydon Bridge neither.
The charge Butler admitted to will be dealt with at the same time of his trial.
