A 72-YEAR-OLD man has died of his injuries following a crash on the A68, police have revealed.
Police Scotland confirmed a man died following the incident at Carter Bar, near the Scottish Borders, shortly after 4pm on Tuesday.
The incident occurred between the border and the junction with the A6088.
The 72-year-old man was riding a Honda motorbike which was involved in a collision with a Renault Trafic van. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Inspector Brenda Sinclair, of Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this time.
"We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances and would urge anyone with information who has not already spoken to police to make contact.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 2174 of 28 July."
