POLICE are appealing for information after a theft in Hexham town centre on Thursday, July 23.
At around 1.30pm yesterday, police received a report of theft from Boots on Fore Street after a woman is alleged to have entered the store and picked up a range of items, before leaving in the company of a second female without offering payment.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "The woman is described as having black hair, was wearing a white T-shirt and dungarees with a navy bag across her shoulder and a butterfly tattoo on her forearm.
"The second female is described as having long hair, wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and sliders."
