A WOMAN with terminal cancer has announced that she will marry her long term partner.
Archery champion Allison Kelly has been with her beloved Alan for 27 years. Now they will finally tie the knot at a special ceremony in Hexham, on Monday.
The Prudhoe couple will be married at the historic Hexham House, the Grade II listed building which is now a luxury wedding venue.
Popular Allison revealed last month that she had mesothelioma, a rare type of cancer, in her lung.
The blow came came quarter of a century after Allison overcame breast cancer when she was 29.
Over the past few weeks, the 55-year-old and her family have been overwhelmed with support.
She said: "We are very much looking forward to getting married at this beautiful old building, Hexham House registry office on Monday."
A talented archer, Allison represented Great Britain at the World Championships last September.
An online fund-raising campaign has now raised over £7,200. The money is going towards the cost of transforming her garden at home into a peaceful haven for Allison to spend time with her family.
Work is already well under way, and the project will also internal renovations at home, including a built-in wardrobe.
