THE case of an Acomb man who allegedly made a false statement to claim benefits has been adjourned.
Keith Laidlaw (51) of the Queens Arms Hotel in Acomb, is accused of making a false statement or representation to the Department for Work and Pensions, namely that he was a carer of a woman,with view to obtaining income support.
The case was adjourned until July 28 at North Tyneside Magistrates Court in order for the defendant to attend.
