THE HIGHEST number of Coronavirus-related deaths in Northumberland peaked between April 27 and May 3, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics.
The data shows that 40 deaths were recorded in week 18 of 2020.
This includes 20 deaths in care homes, 18 in hospitals and two more in 'other' locations.
As of Thursday, no coronavirus deaths have been recorded at Northumbria Healthcare hospitals for six days in a row.
The number of people who have died after a positive test at the trust's hospitals remains at 202, according to the latest figures from NHS England.
Public Health England said there have been 1,574 lab-confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Northumberland.
Nationally, 287,621 lab-confirmed cases have been reported - an increase of 642 on the previous day.
The total death toll now stands at 44,602 - an increase of 85 on the previous day.
