POLICE were alerted on Wednesday to people in a white van behaving suspiciously in Haltwhistle.
A member of the public alerted police to the incident in the town's Sainsbury's car park.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Officers have spoken to the store and reviewed CCTV, but there is no evidence that any criminal offences have been committed at this stage."
Police will continue to monitor the area, but anyone with information is encouraged to call 101, quoting log 935 08/07/20.
