A CANNABIS farm containing hundreds of plants have been uncovered in a house in the Upper North Tyne, according to police.
Northumbria Police revealed officers carried out a search warrant on a property on Castle Drive, Kielder, on Wednesday after a tip off.
While they uncovered the operation, nobody was at the address and police are appealing for more information.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "Officers executed a search warrant at a property on Castle Drive in Kielder after receiving intelligence about illegal activity at the address.
"Following a search of the property on Wednesday afternoon, a cannabis farm containing hundreds of plants was found in the loft space.
"Nobody was present at the address and enquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing.
"Anyone with information that may assist the police investigation is encouraged to call 101 quoting log 670 08/07/20.”
