AN arrest warrant has been issued for a Tyne Valley man after he failed to turn up in court.
Ben Derek Shields (30) of Bewick Lane, Ovingham, was due to appear at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court on Thursday, July 2.
He is accused of separate charges of assaulting three men, with the charges relating to an alleged incident in Prudhoe on May 30.
However, he did not appear in court, and police issued a warrant for his arrest. A spokesman for Northumbria Police confirmed Shields was wanted and asked anyone with information to contact police.
