THE insides of the former Hexham swimming pool on Gilesgate have been laid bare as demolition work continues.
The roof of the building has now been removed and the former pool itself is full of debris.
The building will make way for a complex of 45 new flats, although the historic facade will be retained.
Bulldozers moved in on the site, which housed the town's swimming pool between 1974 and 2008 last month.
Construction on the new apartments is set to get under way later this summer, with a view to overall completion by August 2021.
