JOBS could be in he pipeline after blueprints to build nine industrial units were lodged.

Proposals were submitted to Copeland Borough Council late last month for two buildings which would house nine units, for commercial or industrial use, on vacant land at the Sneckyeat Industrial Estate in Hensingham, Whitehaven.

The applicant is listed as the Chorley based property company Northern Trust.

According to the Design and Access statement: "The proposal would provide a total floor area of 1743sqm.

"The purpose of the development is to provide flexible, smaller scale accommodation, particularly to attract start-up and local business."

It added: "The proposal will help to support economic growth and prosperity of the borough and build on the success of the existing development at the Sneckyeat Industrial Estate."
