A 32-YEAR-OLD driver has died in a motorway car crash.
The incident was reported today at 4.05am, on the northbound section, near Junction 20 of the A74(M), about three miles from Annan.
The man was the only occupant of a silver Renault Clio, no other vehicles were involved.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin are aware.
Sergeant Leigh McCulloch, Dumfries & Galloway Road Policing, said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this time.
"We're carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances of the crash and urge anyone who could help to come forward.
"In particular we're keen to speak to anyone who was on the M74 and may have dashcam footage."
