WORKERS at Tynedale’s community music shop weren’t quite dancing in the street as it was allowed to reopen under strict Covid-19 regulations at the weekend.

Social distancing prohibited such acts, however, Core Music was overjoyed to welcome back customers between 10am and midday on Saturday to take advantage of its click and collect service.

While the shop opening hours are limited at the moment, customers are asked to email by Tuesday each week with what they are looking for, and volunteers will get back informing them if they are able to get it ready by the weekend.

If so, people will be allocated a time slot to pick up the items from the Core shop on Gilesgate, in Hexham, between 10am and midday.

Payment for the items need to be taken beforehand or on the morning of collection, and is strictly by card only.

For those shielding for health reasons, the shop volunteers are looking to provide a delivery service, dependent on location.
