THE latest coronavirus figures provide more good news for Northumberland.

Data from NHS England showed that no people have died from COVID-19 at Northumbria Healthcare hospitals for the fourth day in a row. The death toll at Northumbria's hospitals remains at 200.

It means just one person has died at the trust's hospitals in the last ten days.

In addition, no new cases of the virus were confirmed in Northumberland yesterday. According to Public Health England, the total number of lab-confirmed cases in the UK remains at 1,067.

Nationally, 100 people who had tested positive for coronavirus died on Saturday. The total death toll now stands at 43,514.

Furthermore, 890 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the UK, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in the UK to 310,250.

155,359 tests were carried out on Saturday.
