NO deaths from coronavirus were recorded at Northumbria Healthcare hospitals for the third day in a row.
The news from NHS England's latest figures means just two people have died at the trust's hospitals in the last 15 days.
According to Public Health England, one new case of the virus was confirmed in Northumberland on Friday, bringing the total up to 1,067.
Nationally, 186 people who had a positive test result died on Friday, bringing the UK's death toll up to 43,414.
309,360 cases of the virus have now been confirmed in the UK, an increase of 1,006 on Friday.
165,665 tests were carried out on Friday.
