WHILE coronavirus may prevent large gatherings, one of the district's most popular events still went ahead this weekend - albeit in a virtual format.
The Tynedale Beer and Cider Festival, which was due to take place between June 18 and 21 at Tynedale Rugby Club, in Corbridge, was cancelled due to concerns over Covid-19.
However, many regular attendees were still able to join in the fun as the event went virtual on the evenings of June 19 and 20.
