ROADWORKS in Haydon Bridge are taking place throughout Wednesday.
Highways workers from Northumberland County Council began work at 9am, to assess a stretch of the main road through the village, from the east end A69 junction, to the top of John Martin Street.
A county council spokeswoman said: "There are some minor road works taking place in Haydon Bridge today to assess the area for potential future improvements."
Stop and go signs are being operated manually, and disruption is mimimal. The work was expected to be completed by late afternoon.
