A TYNEDALE clinic is home to the country’s first coronavirus detection infrastructure.
Paul Hobrough, who owns Physio & Therapy, in Hexham, has installed a temperature testing camera and disinfecting tunnel in his clinic on the town’s Hallstile Bank.
“Our aim has always been to instil confidence and use cutting edge equipment to get results for patients,” said Paul.
The technology has cost nearly £10,000 to install, but Paul believes it to be a small price to pay.
“There are very few people untouched by the virus and you can never be too safe,” he said.
Clients will be asked to complete a Covid questionnaire and a Zoom triage to determine whether face-to-face consultation is required. On entry to the clinic, the camera will take a temperature reading and an alarm will sound if it is too high.
And a disinfecting tunnel will spray dry mist to kill any viruses that a person may have on them.
