The programme of events to mark Armed Forces Day in Carlisle has been cancelled.
As a result of the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, the decision has been taken by organisers to cancel the planned events to mark the day, which would have taken place in Carlisle's city centre.
Armed Forces Day, which this year falls on Saturday June 27, is an annual day celebrated nationally to commemorate and celebrate all those who have served or are serving in the Royal Navy, British Army and the Royal Air Force.
To mark the week instead, the Armed Forces’ flag will be raised on June 22 and lowered on June 27 at the Old Town Hall.
